Meetings

Chapter meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at the Pinetop-Lakeside Town Council Chambers. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. We do not meet in January or February. July's meeting is held on the second Wednesday of the month.

Field trips are held the 2nd Saturday of each month. We meet at 7:00 a.m. at the Pinetop or Show Low McDonald's parking lot.

We meet at the Pinetop-Lakeside Town Council Chambers (1350 Niels Hansen Road in downtown Lakeside).

From Navopache Electric/light at Porter Mountain Road and Hwy. 260 (our old meeting site), continue east on 260 towards Lakeside/Pinetop; take the second right turn, at Jackson (Lakeside Post Office turn).

Go two blocks to the Town offices (the old school), and take a left on Niels Hansen, and you're there! From Show Low on 260, you can take a right on Niels Hansen (after Lakeside Campground) to reach the Town offices on your left (past the Church). From Pinetop, take a left at John L. Fish (Conoco gas station) or Jackson to the Town offices.

 

 

2015             

MAY:

6th- Monthly meeting speaker will be Dewain Bartimus, White Mountain Reptile Rescue, will give program on his work with reptiles.

29th-30th- White Mountain Nature Film Festival begins on Friday, May 29th with a reception at El Rancho Restaurant in Pinetop from 5-7:30 pm. Films will be shown on Saturday, May 30th all day at the Unity Church in Lakeside

JUNE:

3rd- Monthly meeting speaker will be Vanya Szabo, with Johns Hopkins Univ; she will discuss gardening endeavors on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation including school gardens and The Farm.

JULY:

1st- Monthly meeting speakers will be Dominic Barrett, USF&WS, and Kyle Dutro, AZG&FD, speaking about “Partners for Fish & Wildlife Programs”.

25th- Hummingbird Banding at Sipe Wildlife Area

AUGUST:

5th- Monthly meeting speaker will be Barb Davis, local artist/photograper speaking on “Spring Birding on the Gulf Of Mexico”.

SEPTEMBER:

2nd- Monthly meeting speaker will be Allan Zufelt, AZG&FD, speaking on Condor Recovery Program.

OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER: Meetings and events to be announced.
